1. Working principle

Especially high-power ultrasound can generate strong cavitation, resulting in instantaneous high temperature, high pressure, vacuum, and micro jet formation locally. The cavitation effect of ultrasound provides the possibility for the degradation of harmful organic compounds in water, thus achieving the goal of ultrasonic sewage treatment.
In the process of sewage treatment, the cavitation effect of ultrasound has a strong ability to degrade organic matter, and the degradation rate is very fast. The high energy generated by the collapse of ultrasound cavitation bubbles is enough to break the bond, and cavitation bubbles collapse to produce hydroxyl (OH) and hydrogen (H) groups. The oxidation reaction with organic matter can transform harmful organic matter in the water into C02, H2O, inorganic ions, or organic matter that is less toxic and easily degradable than the original organic matter. So in traditional sewage treatment, organic pollutants that are difficult to biodegrade can be degraded through the cavitation effect of ultrasound.
