1. Equipment Overview
UASB is an upflow anaerobic sludge bed reactor, and the entire reactor body can be divided into three zones: mixing zone, reaction zone, and gas liquid solid three-phase separation zone. The sewage is lifted to the bottom of the anaerobic reactor by a water pump, and the sewage is evenly arranged on the entire section using the bottom water distribution system; By utilizing the outlet pressure and gas production of the influent, the wastewater can fully contact and transfer mass with high concentration anaerobic sludge, and the organic matter in the wastewater can be degraded; Wastewater slowly rises in the reaction zone and further degrades organic matter. During the simultaneous rise of gas, water, and sludge, biogas first enters the three-phase separator and is discharged through pipelines. Sludge and wastewater rise to the separation zone through the gaps in the three-phase separator, and sludge settles and condenses in the separation zone and returns to the lower part of the three-phase separator to maintain the biological star in the anaerobic reactor. The precipitated effluent is discharged outside the tank through pipelines.
2. Equipment features:
There is a large amount of biomass in the sludge bed, and the calculated equivalent concentration can reach 20-30g/L; The volumetric loading rate is relatively high. Under medium temperature fermentation conditions, it is generally around 10kgCODcr/m3. d. The hydraulic retention time of wastewater in the reactor is relatively short, so the required tank capacity is greatly reduced. The equipment is simple and easy to operate, without the need for sedimentation tanks and sludge reflux devices, filling with fillers, or installing mechanical stirring devices in the reaction zone. The cost is relatively low, easy to manage, and blockage problems are not easily caused. The UASB ascending anaerobic sludge bed technology is mature and widely used, with many successful cases. Therefore, there are many experiences to learn from during the construction and operation process, which is conducive to the stable operation of the system.
3. Application scope
High concentration organic wastewater, such as alcohol, molasses, citric acid, etc.
Medium concentration wastewater, such as wastewater from beer, slaughtering, soft drinks, etc.
Low concentration wastewater, such as domestic wastewater.
