With the continuous improvement of water treatment requirements, the traditional flocculation precipitation technology has also experienced continuous innovation and development. The traditional sedimentation tank often faces the problem of limited COD and SS removal capacity when treating complex water sources such as synthetic drug wastewater, and its single sedimentation and clarification function also increases the complexity and cost of water treatment system.

In order to solve these problems, a high-density sedimentation tank technology which integrates flocculation, precipitation and clarification came into being. This high-density sedimentation tank can not only effectively improve the removal capacity of COD and SS in water, but also significantly reduce the area of water treatment system through the compact pool structure, so that it has a wide range of application prospects in the field of water treatment.

Principle and characteristics of high density sedimentation tank

The high-density sedimentation tank is mainly composed of three parts: rapid mixing tank, flocculation reaction tank and sedimentation separation tank.

1. Rapid mixing tank: water and flocculant are mixed here, and rapid flocculation is achieved through rapid stirring to avoid the precipitation of alum flowers.
2. Flocculation reaction tank: Add coagulant aid to the lower part of the reaction tank to generate large alum flowers, and control the stirring rate to prevent alum flowers from being broken.
3. Precipitation separation tank: The wastewater carrying alum is precipitated and concentrated here, and the sludge is continuously scraped by the mud scraper to promote sludge concentration, and the inclined plate precipitation device is set to remove the fine alum.

The characteristics of high-density sedimentation tank are mainly reflected in the following six aspects:

Application of high density sedimentation tank in water treatment

These processes have been widely used in drinking water purification, municipal/industrial sewage treatment and other fields, and have shown good treatment effects and economic benefits.
